Nocole, It is a good start. I would like to hear more personal answer to the question WHY? Why are you concerned with with problem, what makes you think that you have special skills and knowledge to solve this problem?
Who is your competition? Why your solutions are better than those existing?
Also, how you can help specifically—how can you reach out to the students, educational organizations—to spread information? Can you think about the interviews with students or professionals to support your idea? What is your visual inspiration, moldboard? How can your make it interesting conceptually and visually?
I like the idea, it would be really helpful for all students to understand how to save money in New York. It would be cool if you had a general break down of how much a student can spend in a week with your budgeting tips. Give it more of the realization to people.
Hi Nicole it is nice idea. To make it work think about few things: Who is your competition?
Just a quick search gives you handful of results. http://brokelyn.com/can-you-survive-in-manhattan-on-1000-a-month http://brokemillennial.com/2013/05/08/broke-millennials-guide-to-new-york-city-for-cheapish/ http://www.wikihow.com/Live-Cheap-in-Manhattan
How you can make your project different than competition? What is so unique about your project? How can you be innovative?
you may wanna look at a website called dealmoon.com, it also has a App too.
